Artist Statement
My work focuses on the physical and social relationship between natural and urban environments. I’m interested in the resilience of nature in anthropogenic environments, and the ways people use these spaces in the wake of an ever-expanding urban setting. My subjects are primarily based in my hometown of the Bronx, NY, and it’s my intention to re-introduce the viewer to an environment that was considered a universal symbol of urban plight and decay.
